Airline Ticket Grant

If you are qualified for the program and your application has been approved, and your income is below a certain level you may qualify for assistance toward your airline ticket. The grant will pay for half of your airline ticket up to $500. The volunteer will be responsible for fundraising for the rest of the ticket cost.

Eligibility

In order to be eligible for the grant you must meet the following requirements:

  • You must be accepted into the English Teaching and Cultural Exchange program as a volunteer teacher.
  • If you are financially responsible for yourself you must make less than $36,000.
  • If you are in school, supported by your parents, and not working, your parent's combined income must be less than $48,000.
  • Provide required proof of income for yourself and/or your parents if they are financially responsible for you (most recent tax return or pay stubs)
